Sing a Song of Sausages is Jonathan Sellars’ ode to poetry
Set to be published in Spring 2027

Tiny Tree Books is pleased to announce the acquisition of Sing a Song of Sausages, a silly and sizzling new poetry book by award-winning poet and author Jonathan Sellars. Worldwide rights to the book were secured in a direct deal with the author following a round of open submissions.
A uniquely creative and interactive new poetry book, Sing a Song of Sausages is Jonathan Sellars’ ode to poetry itself, split into 12 sections to allow readers to enjoy the book however they please. Keen to share his love of poetry as a medium. Jonathan has also included special “Idea Zones” to get young readers thinking about poems of their own. The book will also feature illustrations from Selwyn Leamy, the current Artist in Residence at Hampton Court House.
“I’m as excited as a badger with new roller skates, and very grateful to Tiny Tree for helping to bring Sing a Song of Sausages to life,” says Jonathan Sellars. “The book is a poetry waterpark, incredibly fun with something for everyone. It’s also packed with ideas to help children turn their imaginations into waterparks of their own. Although, unfortunately, the book will not be waterproof.”
Illustrator Selwyn Leamy adds: “I’m a volcano of excitement. I can’t wait for people to enjoy how the illustrations and poems dance together on the page.”
Sing a Song of Sausages will be released in Spring 2027. More information will be shared closer to release.

About Jonathan Sellars
Jonathan Sellars is a poet and author for children. His debut picture book, Polly Plum: Brave Adventurer, was published in 2022 by the National Maritime Museum. His poems have been published around the world, and he is a regular at schools and festivals with his Spinning Wheel of Poetry. He is the current Plumstead Poet Laureate, winner of the 2025 Writing Magazine Humorous Poem Competition, and is a supported author as part of the GLL Literary Foundation. He lives in south-east London with his young family.
