THE SUNDAY TIMES BEST-SELLING AUTHOR WILL RELEASE THE FIRST OF FIVE NEW CHILDREN’S BOOKS IN ‘SPRING 2025’
DEAL INCLUDES FOUR NEW PICTURE BOOKS, PLUS ONE CHILDREN’S NOVEL
Tiny Tree is thrilled to announce that we have agreed a five-book deal with Sunday Times best-selling author Sarah Oliver.
A prolific writer for children, Sarah is best known for her series of children’s biographies chronicling the lives and careers of A-list celebrities. This new deal with Tiny Tree will see the author produce four new picture books, as well as a children’s fiction novel.
On joining Tiny Tree Sarah says: “I am thrilled to be working with Tiny Tree, a publisher I have admired for many years after attending an author reading by Nicola Hulme in 2018. I love the variety of books that Tiny Tree publishes and their authors are so warm and welcoming.”
The first of Sarah’s books with Tiny Tree will be released in Spring 2025. The story focuses on a pair of young boys who turn their garden into a safe haven for hedgehogs. This prickly picture book will be illustrated by Juliet Prentice and is sure to be a hit with younger readers.
The deal to bring five of Sarah Oliver’s books to Tiny Tree was struck by Publishing Manager James Shaw, following a call for open submissions.
“Sarah is someone we’ve wanted to work with for a long time,” says James Shaw. “I love what I’ve read, and her ideas are boundless. Myself and the team can’t wait to get started”.
Sarah adds: “I am excited to be releasing my first chapter book and picture books with Tiny Tree, and can’t wait to share the stories with new audiences. The illustrators are incredible and have really brought my stories to life.”
Sarah Oliver is the latest in a long list of authors, illustrators, and other wonderful creatives to sign with Tiny Tree. Author Laura Diebelius recently agreed a two-book deal, and it was also announced that Nadine Holland, Ffion Jones, and B.B. Taylor were amongst the authors returning to the imprint for new projects.
