FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Tiny Tree Books is proud to announce the acquisition of new titles, set for release in 2025 and beyond. The new acquisitions include picture books from Victoria Byron, Michelle Hird, and Brian Frederick, plus a gothic middle-grade novel Emma Finlayson-Palmer, and a teenage YA drama from from Susannah Haydn. Tiny Tree Books publisher James Shaw acquired all books directly from the creators following a round of open submissions.

This round of new acquisitions follows on from Tiny Tree Books’ news in October showcasing our imprint’s dedication to working with the best emerging and established talent in children’s publishing.

“2024 has been a huge growth year for Tiny Tree,” says publisher James Shaw. “We’ve been working with so many fantastically talented authors and illustrators, and this latest group is no different”. Mr Shaw continues: “Some we’ve worked with before and others are brand new to us. Either way, I’m looking forward to sharing more about these titles soon”.

Michelle Hird is one of the names returning to Tiny Tree. Having previously created Binx the Jinx and its follow-up Binx Lost in France, the author-illustrator is now working on a new picture book focused on a lonely magpie seeking friendship and community. Set to be released in early 2026.

Brian Frederick has signed a multi-book deal for a series of picture books about a little sausage dog with a heart of gold. Not only is this little pup magic, he’s also a very good boy. The series, illustrated by Vivien Sárkány, is set to begin in late 2025.

Rounding out picture books, Victoria Byron’s latest sees a dog in search of his family on Halloween night — will he be able to find them and bring them back home? This is a seasonally spooky picture book to be released in autumn 2025.

Author Susannah Haydn delivers a dramatic new YA novel exploring teenage relationships, sibling rivalry, and everything that comes with it. What’s it like having the coolest, most beautiful girl in the world as your twin sister? Find out in the summer of 2025.

Author-illustrator Emma Finlayson-Palmer invites young readers to Shadowtropolis to meet a young grim reaper in her hilarious, and charmingly gothic, new middle-grade novel. Set for publication in late 2025.

This latest crop of incredibly talented authors and illustrators join Donn Swaby, Laura Jeffcote, and Ashley Baxendale in releasing new titles for Tiny Tree in 2025.

Tiny Tree Books has experienced its most significant growth in 2024, with more titles being released than ever before. The imprint remains committed to publishing top-quality picture books, middle-grade novels, and young adult titles.

ENDS.
