Meet the Author: Laura Jeffcote
Laura Jeffcote is an animation designer and illustrator specialising in children’s media. In 2023, during a downturn in the animation industry, Laura took a picture book course with The Good Ship Illustration. By day, she wrote and illustrated Spider Hair, her debut picture book. By night, she worked at a local music venue.
Laura’s love for the whimsical and humorous shines through her illustrations, inspired by greats like Quentin Blake, Joanna Quinn, and Oliver Jeffers. Her favourite book, Mortimer’s Tie by Joan Aiken and illustrated by Quentin Blake, has always been a cherished influence.
