Jax King grew up in Kent, where her vibrant imagination and love for storytelling first took root. Despite the challenges of dyslexia, she embraced it as a unique strength, shaping her creative journey.

A former freelance broadcaster, Jax spent a decade reporting from the skies over London in Capital Radio’s Flying Eye. She has since turned her focus to children’s literature, crafting humorous, lyrical picture books and upper middle-grade adventures. Her work has been recognized in international competitions, and she’s a member of the Society of Authors and SCBWI.

Now based on Devon’s Jurassic Coast with her husband and two giant dogs, Gatsby and Willoughby, Jax enjoys fossil hunting, alongside more adrenaline-filled pursuits like skydiving and flying solo in a Cessna 152. Her biggest achievement is being a mum of three!
