When baby Bertie showed up, everything changed. He cries, he stinks… and now Mummy doesn’t even see me!

When baby Bertie showed up, everything changed. He cries, he stinks… and now Mummy doesn’t even see me!

My invisible friend Boggle, the expert in getting noticed, has a plan though…

Make noise. Make breakfast. Maybe paint the nursery...

But when Mummy finally sees me, I learn that being a big sister might be messy, but it’s also kind of magic.

A funny, feel-good story about big feelings, invisible friends, and learning there’s always enough love to go around.

Sally took a career break to have more children and has been working freelance for the last few years, focusing on Children’s book illustration, primarily picture books. Based in Derbyshire, just on the edge of the Peak District, she loves working from her messy home studio with her cat Flossy and sausage dog Frida.

In her free time, Sally enjoys exploring the beautiful landscapes of the Peak District with her family, finding inspiration in nature for her work and the odd little character they meet. Sally loves taking her sketchbook out to draw from life to help her ‘see’ her characters and loves going to life drawing as her ‘me’ time. Sally is an advocate for representation and inclusivity in children’s literature, striving to create stories and illustrations that reflect the diverse world we live in. Through her art, she aims to inspire others to embrace creativity and celebrate diversity.
