Tiny Tree Books is proud to announce the acquisition of the debut picture book from Robyn Holdaway.
An actor, content creator, and active member of the LGBTQ+ community, Robyn Holdaway reaches an audience of over 370k people across TikTok and Instagram, where, along with their wife Em, they spotlight LGBTQ+ issues and mental health. Robyn is best known for their role as Layla in Netflix series ‘Sex Education’, and has also appeared in AMC’s ‘Moonhaven’ and BBC production ‘Strike: Lethal White’. As a voice actor, they have appeared in award-winning audiobooks, dramas, and video games.
Worldwide rights to the manuscript were acquired by Tiny Tree Books publishing manager James Shaw in a direct deal with the author.

I never expected to be an author, but a lifetime of storytelling has a way of catching up to you, and this story is incredibly dear to my heart. I am used to narrating others’ stories, it is so exciting to now give a voice to my own”
James Shaw says: “Having already been a fan of Robyn and their content on social media, I was thrilled to see a submission from them in my inbox. The story is just as layered and compelling as I had expected, and it’s been a real joy of a project to work on”.
Titled ‘The Man with a Thousand Names’, the book will be illustrated by Robyn’s longtime friend and collaborator Bryony Diamand. Presented much like a classic fairytale or folk story, ‘The Man with a Thousand Names’ tackles themes of identity, recognition, and how your name can help you feel like your true, authentic self.
Robyn adds: “This is a story about what it means to be who you truly are, and tackles a variety of complex themes in an accessible and joyful manner. It is designed to feel timeless, and draws on familiar ideas from British folklore, which I hope will resonate with a wide range of people.”
‘The Man with a Thousand Names’ by Robyn Holdaway and Bryony Diamand will be published by Tiny Tree Books and is set for release in Summer 2027.
