FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Tiny Tree is pleased to announce the acquisition of nine new children’s books as we continue to grow our collection of books for 2025. These fresh additions to our bookshelves include a range of new picture books and middle-grade titles across a variety of styles and genres.
This round of acquisitions includes a blend of returning talent and fresh voices that are brand new to children’s publishing. “Tiny Tree is committed to giving a platform to new talent,” says Publisher James Shaw. “Being able to showcase debuting authors and illustrators alongside works by many of the brilliant authors and illustrators we’ve worked with before is something we’re thrilled we can do”.
‘Whispa and the Waves’ author Ffion Jones returns with a new picture book about finding joy in the little things. We also have a thrilling and mysterious middle-grade debut from Sarah Lamerton. Sarah Hewitt, author-illustrator of ‘Anna’s Garden,’ presents an adventurous and heartwarming rhyming picture book. Sharon Baker brings a daring middle-grade adventure starring a heroic cast of rats with illustrations by Edward Foxell. ‘Running’ author B.B. Taylor teams up with illustrator Donna Nicolson for a silly yet heroic picture book about an unlucky king and underwear-stealing trolls. Debut author Jax King and illustrator Samantha LeDuc share the story of a poor bear discovering the perils of a hairy, beary sticky bum in a new picture book. Elisa Peacock, author of ‘The Bum That Barked,’ returns with a hilarious, time-travelling picture book about a whale, with illustrations by Jonathan Petley. Author-illustrator Susie Oh explores the overwhelming experience of a little pig entering a huge library in her new picture book. Finally, Nadine Holland, author of ‘Hallie and the Broken Ghost,’ is back with a new picture book (illustrated by Wenny Stefanie) about a mighty giant struggling with the idea of failing.
These books are set for release in early 2025. Worldwide rights to each book were acquired by Tiny Tree publisher James Shaw following a round of open submissions.
“I’m so pleased to have been able to bring every one of these books under the Tiny Tree banner,” says James Shaw. “We’ve been so pleased with the response to our open submissions”.
2024 has marked the largest growth year for Tiny Tree Books. The imprint is releasing more books than ever before, whilst maintaining it’s dedication to publishing high-quality picture books, middle-grade, and young adult titles.
